Dear Junior Zagato 'lover' and/or owner!
We are glad that you are visiting the website of “HET JUNIOR ZAGATO ARCHIEF”.
Please have a look at the following pages where you will find information
about the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Junior Zagato 1300 (in short: Junior Z)
and the 1600 Z, the 1600 cc version of the Junior Zagato (1972).
Our foundation was created in 2010, just before the Centennial Festivities when our beloved
car brand Alfa Romeo was celebrating its 100 years of existence.
Ever since we started our activities we were happy to receive a lot of positive feedback about the work we do and the support we give to owners .
While in the meantime more Junior Z owners from abroad than from the Netherlands have submitted and committed themselves to our “club” ,
we gradually transfer the language on our website from Dutch to English,
in order to make all the information more accessible to our foreign members.
We are happy to mention that we have members from:
Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Equador, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway,Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, United States, and the Netherlands, which makes us a really
international Junior Z-Club.
Going through the next pages you will understand how important
it is that all still existing Junior Zagato’s with their owners from all over the world are united under the umbrella of our "HJZA Owners Club"
Already long before the creation of "the Junior Zagato Archives" (in short: HJZA) we have a
long history with and knowledge of this beautiful and exclusive Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato.
Among
others (personal) experience with complete or partial restorations together with reliable partners, about
whom you can read more on our website.
Our activities and work is not only known to the institutions mentioned underneath this page, we are honored and pleased that master designer Ercole
Spada was inspired to become patron of our "Club" and has offered us his support.
Members who attended the Junior Z gathering in 2019 during the JZ celebrations in the Netherlands were able to meet Mr. Spada in person and have been able to ask
him questions that they had about his and their proudly owned masterpiece.
HJZA owns an extensive library with:
- documentation about the history of the Junior Z
- press release photographs
- design drawings and photographs
- original technical information, color carts and numbers;
- sales brochures and documentation, pricelists;
- advertisements and posters in relation with the Junior Z;
- manuals in Italian and German;
- books, magazines and JZ spare part catalogues both 1300 and 1600
- lists of former AR suppliers of spare parts and paint;
- a Register of all the 1300 and 1600 Junior Zagato bodied cars,
complete with, as far as possible, the history of each and every car;
-an international JZ network of sheet workers, mechanics and suppliers of highly qualified spare parts especially for the Junior Z and 1600 Z;
-Junior Z maintenance and technical specification books and other worthwhile information.
Having the intention to support Junior Z owners in any (practical) way we can, we collected during many years our
own Junior Z spare parts stock.
(ONLY) Members are able to buy parts from this stock or can ask us to search for Junior Z parts in our network of suppliers, when the parts
they look for, are not available (or too expensive !).
Last but not least:
When sufficient demand is in order, we re-produce Junior Zagato spare parts of high quality and accordingly the
original parts, of which we also have (sometimes) newly made models in stock .
We ask for your special attention on the page "Events" and the page of the
"Junior Z Workshop - Bottega " .
The information that you will find at our website is extensive and especially
JZ ownwers who are on the eve of restoring their JZ are strongly advised to read the pages carefully; many of your questions will be answered and it saves our JZ team a lot of
time in answering your questions individually.
In addition, a thorough study of these pages will help you understand the pitfalls you may encounter when owning or restoring a Junior Zagato.
If,nevertheless, you still should have specific questions,please feel free to
contact us.
Your questions, suggestions, remarks or ideas can be send to:
